Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
